2nd Convocation of Uttara University was held on 4th July, 2011
I am delighted to learn that the 2nd Convocation of Uttara University is going to be held on 04 July 2011 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka. On this occasion, I heartily congratulate the graduating students, their parents and the university authority on their yardstick of success.
Convocation is not only a traditional occasion which confers degrees upon the graduating students but also a glaring event that evaluates the overall accomplishment of the university. Convocation, therefore, bears immense significance and dignity both for the students as well as the university. The Government of Bangladesh is committed to ensuring the quality of education from primary to tertiary level with a view to making a knowledge-based society. In line with the planning, our government has formulated National Education Policy 2010 and enacted Private University Act. 2010. I believe universities, both private and public, would play their due role in materialising the hopes and aspirations of the people. I, once again, thank the graduating students who are coming out from this alma mater and hope that they will contribute towards building a happy and prosperous Bangladesh.
I wish the 2nd Convocation of Uttara University a success.
Khoda Hafez, May Bangladesh Live Forever.

Our government has given the topmost priority to education. We have adopted a modern, scientific and time-befitting Education Policy and enacted Private University Act-2010 to ensure the quality of education. We have been striving hard to establish Bangladesh as a poverty-, hunger-, illiteracy-free progressive and democratic country by 2021, the Golden jubilee year of our independence.
I hope the graduates of this university, with a strong sense of patriotism and responsibility, could utilize their talents to build a prosperous Bangladesh as dreamt by the greatest Bangalee of all time, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
I wish the 2nd convocation of Uttara University a grand success.
Joi Bangla, Joi Bangabandhu
