Mental health is not a destination, it’s a journey. On April 23, students from Uttara University took a meaningful step along that path by attending The Flow Fest at the BRAC University Multi-Purpose Hall.

Organized in collaboration with Prime NOW, this two-day National Youth Wellness Festival served as a powerful reminder that caring for your mind is just as essential as caring for your body. In a time when stress and burnout are increasingly common, The Flow Fest created a safe and creative space for students to reconnect with themselves and their community.

From energizing sessions like yoga, salsa, and hip-hop to open and honest discussions on topics such as depression, the event fostered an environment where seeking professional help is recognized as a strength, not a stigma.

Participants also had the privilege of learning from distinguished experts, including Joya Berlin, Founder and CEO of Bejoy Counseling & Wellness Institute, along with the expert team from Medix Signature Clinic, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hossain Imam, Nusrat Jahan Deepa, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sinthia Alam.

Through the dedicated efforts of the Uttara University Mental Health Unit and the PR and Branding team, the university proudly stood at the forefront of this important initiative.

As founder Shazia Omar emphasized, the goal is to normalize the journey toward mental wellness, encouraging individuals to stop hiding their feelings and start prioritizing their inner peace. By coming together, we are fostering a supportive culture where every student feels empowered to embrace their authentic self.
