Uttara University successfully celebrated “World Human Resource Day 2026” today, May 20, 2026, by hosting a corporate event, the UU HR Summit 2026. Jointly organized by the Office of External Affairs, Uttara University and the School of Business, in association with the Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organizations (FBHRO) and proudly presented by Guardian Life Insurance Limited, the premier summit took place at the university’s Multipurpose Hall. Under the theme “Where Future Leaders Meet Industry Icons,” the event served as an extraordinary bridge between academia and the corporate sector, bringing together around twenty senior HR professionals, talent strategists and top-tier corporate changemakers from Bangladesh’s leading organizations to discuss industrial collaboration, emerging trends, challenges and the future of human resources.
This prestigious event was hosted, anchored, and expertly moderated by Professor Dr. A S M Shahabuddin, Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Uttara University. High-level leadership attended from prominent financial and telecom powerhouses, including United Commercial Bank PLC, Mercantile Bank PLC, National Finance Limited, Grameenphone Limited, Banglalink Digital Communications Limited and bKash Limited. Major diversified conglomerates and businesses were also heavily represented, including United Group, Bdjobs.com Ltd., Transcom Distribution Co. Ltd., Guardian Life Insurance Limited, BRACNet Limited, Partex Star Group, Cross World Power Ltd, Magpie Group, Texsa Team Group, Lead Nation Academy, E-Zone HRM Limited, Index Accessories Limited, ABA Group, atb jobs, and Ha-Meem Group, creating an unprecedented convergence of industry expertise on a single campus.
















The core of the summit featured engaging presentation and keynote speech from Prof. Dr. Musharrof Hossain, Founder President & HR Advisor, icddr,b and then back-to-back speeches from the distinguished guests. Through their enlightening sessions, the corporate leaders and industry experts shared vital industry insights with the students and other peers. The audience had an exclusive opportunity to share their expectations with the guests.
