This academic event was part of SoSE’s ongoing efforts to align its teaching and learning strategies with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles, a crucial component for securing IEB accreditation for engineering programs. The workshop featured three distinguished speakers. Professor Dr. Mirza Golam Rabbani, Dean of the School of Science & Engineering, delivered an in-depth presentation on the concept and handling of Complex Engineering Problems within the OBE framework. Professor Dr. Md. Shakowat Zaman Sarker, Associate Dean of SoSE and Chairman of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), discussed the technical and practical aspects of Course Profile Preparation, emphasizing alignment with program outcomes. Mahmood Reaz Sunny, Assistant Professor of the EEE Department, presented the opening session on Introduction to OBE-Based Curriculum, focusing on the structure and philosophy of outcome-oriented academic planning.

The sessions were highly interactive, engaging and well-received by the participants. Around 72 faculty members from CSE and EEE Departments participated actively in this work shop.  Faculty members gained practical knowledge on curriculum structuring, assessment strategies and documentation which are essential for OBE implementation. This workshop marks an important step in the University’s ongoing efforts toward academic excellence and international quality standards.
