Vice-Chancellor of Uttara University, Prof. Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha, has been honored with the Commonwealth Business Excellence Award 2026 in recognition of her leadership and contributions to higher education. Prof. Dr. Lekha received the award in the Women in Leadership in Education category at an award ceremony held in London, United Kingdom, on August 27, 2026.

The Commonwealth Business Excellence Awards recognizes individuals and organizations demonstrating outstanding leadership, institutional development, professional excellence, and meaningful contributions to the advancement of the Commonwealth community globally.

The recognition of Prof. Dr. Lekha also highlights the growing contribution of women leaders to the development of higher education. Her achievement is expected to serve as an inspiration to women academics, educators, researchers, and aspiring leaders in Bangladesh and beyond.
