Uttara University successfully held its third annual Research and Publication Award Ceremony 2024 on 21st October 2025, organized by the Center for Research and Training (CRT). The prestigious event recognized and celebrated the outstanding research contributions and Scholarly Scopus-indexed publications of the university’s faculty members, staff and students reflecting Uttara University’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation.

This year, the award ceremony recognized a total of 63 awardees for their exceptional scholarly contributions, encompassing more than 100 Scopus-indexed publications in various academic disciplines. The awards highlight the breadth, depth, and impact of research undertaken by Uttara University. For this award, the publications must be indexed in SCOPUS, Web of Science, UU Journals or others with a high impact factor. The researchers received recognition in the form of certificates and honorariums.

The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha, Special Guest Mr. Abid Aziz, Managing Director of Indigo Uttara Ltd. and Member of the Board of Trustees, Uttara University, and Program Chair Prof. Dr Md. Sultanul Islam, Director, Center for Research and Training, Uttara University.

In her remarks, Prof. Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha said:
“Today, we honour the remarkable achievements of our faculty members, staff and students whose dedication to research continues to elevate Uttara University’s academic standing. This ceremony reflects our commitment to fostering an innovative research culture and creating knowledge that benefits both the university and society. We hope these awards inspire our researchers to continue pushing boundaries and contributing to meaningful advancements in their fields.”

Mr. Abid Aziz remarked, “In your future publications, I encourage you to align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and to explore the boundless world of Artificial Intelligence.”

The event commenced at 2:30 PM in the Multipurpose Hall, bringing together distinguished guests, faculty members, and students for a day of celebration and recognition. The ceremony not only honoured scholarly excellence but also reinforced Uttara University’s vision of fostering a culture of research, innovation, and academic distinction.
