Uttara University has launched the Paper Revival Initiative | From Waste to Wellness on 28 January 2026, under the initiative of the Environment and SDG Club, reinforcing the university’s commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible resource management. As part of the initiative, a paper recycling box has been installed on the university campus to reduce paper wastage and promote environmental awareness among students, faculty members, and staff.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Uttara University, Professor Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha, and the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Naogaon University, Dr. Md. Hasanath Ali, who attended the program as chief guests. In their speeches, they highlighted the crucial role of educational institutions in environmental conservation and emphasized the importance of youth participation in achieving sustainable development.

The event was attended by Honorable Advisors, the Registrar, the Controller of Examinations, the Director of the Office of Student Affairs, administrative officials, faculty members, students, central club representatives, and invited guests.

The organizers expressed confidence that the initiative will contribute significantly to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing environmentally friendly and sustainability-focused activities across the campus.
