Uttara University has taken a groundbreaking step toward institutional excellence by initiating a training program for its employees to achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification. This marks the first such initiative among private universities in Bangladesh. The training program is scheduled to begin on October 30, 2025.
An initial preparatory meeting was held today with the selected participants. The training program will continue for seven consecutive weeks, engaging university faculty members, administrative officers, and management representatives. The sessions will focus on quality management systems, continuous improvement, and enhancing institutional efficiency.
During the orientation session held today, participants were briefed on the objectives, structure, and expected outcomes of the training. The discussion emphasized how this internationally recognized certification will align the university’s operations, service delivery, and academic administration with global standards of quality assurance.
Uttara University’s unwavering commitment to quality education, operational transparency, and innovation will be reflected through its adoption of the ISO 9001:2015 framework.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr A.S.M. Shahabuddin, Proctor of Uttara University, stated, “Our objective is not merely to obtain a certificate for the institution, but to reach a milestone where our education and service standards truly align with international excellence.”
