Advancing its mission toward global academic excellence, a high-level delegation from Uttara University, comprising top management and representatives from the Office of the Institutional Ranking Cell (IRC), participated in the prestigious Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2026 held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The first day of the congress provided a dynamic and valuable platform for the delegation to engage with leading higher education institutions from around the globe, paving the way for strategic international partnerships and academic innovations.

A key highlight of the event’s opening day included initial discussions with India’s SHARDA University. The two institutions explored the introduction of collaborative dual degree programs under the 2+2 and 1+1 models, which would allow students to split their academic journeys between Bangladesh and India for a truly international learning experience.

In addition to dual degree pathways, the Uttara University delegation met with representatives from several other prominent global universities. These meetings focused on exploring joint research initiatives, student exchange programs, and faculty exchange fellowships aimed at fostering cross-border knowledge sharing and cultural diversity.

These high-level engagements directly reflect Uttara University’s continued commitment to internationalization. By building meaningful global partnerships, the university continues to elevate its academic standards, enhance its institutional ranking, and provide its students and faculty with world-class opportunities.
