On 21 August 2025, the Uttara University Debating Club (UUDC) successfully wrapped up its Member Recruitment Summer 2025, welcoming more than 160 new members into its ever-growing family of passionate debaters and critical thinkers. The overwhelming response, with 100 fresh recruits joining on the very first day, reflects the strong culture of debate, dialogue, and intellectual engagement that defines the UU community.

To guide the new members on their debating journey, UUDC hosted the Freshers’ Debate Workshop, a platform designed to introduce them to the art of argumentation, effective communication, and confidence-building. This initiative not only nurtures essential debating skills but also cultivates teamwork, leadership, and analytical thinking, qualities that extend far beyond the debating stage.

As part of their early preparations, UUDC’s energetic new teams are now set to represent Uttara University at two significant national events, the 7th Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology National Debate Festival and the Govt. Titumir College National Debate Festival on 29 August 2025.

The summer recruitment marks more than just the addition of new faces; it signifies a renewed commitment to fostering intellectual growth, building confidence, and amplifying student voices. UUDC continues to stand as a proud platform where ideas are celebrated, friendships are forged, and future leaders are shaped.
