Uttara University has added another remarkable achievement to its growing list of national successes as Team Palm Cooler from the Department of Textile Engineering emerged as Champion in the “300 Seconds Innovation: Poster Presentation” competition under the Textile & Sustainability category at the 1st BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) National Apparel Festival 2026 (BNAF 2026).
Competing against leading universities from across Bangladesh, Team Palm Cooler demonstrated exceptional innovation, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to sustainable solutions for the textile and ready-made garment (RMG) industry. The championship-winning team consisted of Aminul Islam Rohan, Farhan Nafeez and Hurey Jannat, whose innovative project impressed the judges with its originality, practicality, and potential impact on the country’s textile and apparel sector. This prestigious national recognition reflects the dedication, creativity, and hard work of the students, as well as the continuous guidance and support of the faculty members of the Department of Textile Engineering. It also highlights Uttara University’s unwavering commitment to fostering research, innovation, and industry-oriented education that addresses real-world challenges.
