This is to inform all concerned that a seminar titled “Rabindranath in the Test of Time: Challenges and Prospects” is going to be held on 21 May 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Multipurpose Hall, jointly organized by the Department of Bangla and the Department of English.

Dr. Serajul Islam Choudhury, Professor Emeritus, Department of English, University of Dhaka, will grace the occasion as the Keynote Speaker. Professor Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha, Vice Chancellor, Uttara University will be present as the Chief Guest of the Seminar.

Dr. Chanchal Kumar Bose, Professor, Department of Bangla, Jagannath University and Dr. Sohana Mahboob, Professor, Department of Bangla, University of Dhaka will be present as the Special Guests in the Seminar.

The seminar is expected to be attended by distinguished scholars and guests from renowned institutions. Therefore, Treasurer, Advisors, Controller of Examinations, all Deans, Associate Deans, Chairpersons, Academic Directors, Office Heads, faculty members and all concerned are earnestly requested to attend the Seminar and extend their wholehearted cooperation to make the event successful and memorable.

To uphold the cultural spirit and essence of Rabindranath Tagore, all concerned are strongly encouraged to attend the Seminar wearing traditional attire, preferably saree and panjabi.
