On 14 November 2025, the Office of External Affairs, in collaboration with the Department of Textile Engineering, Uttara University, organized a seminar on ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) to introduce graduating students to key environmental management practices at the factory level. The program was part of the university’s ongoing skill enhancement initiatives.

Mr. Mohammad Issa, Lead Auditor at AJA Bangladesh Ltd., attended as the keynote speaker and delivered an informative presentation on EMS functions, implementation methods, and compliance requirements under ISO 14001:2015. He was joined by Mr. Shamsul Alam, Head of Operations and Lead Auditor, AJA Bangladesh Limited, who shared his practical professional experiences with the participants.

The seminar was graced by Professor Dr. Md. Sultanul Islam, Dean, SoCEIE, who encouraged students to pursue continuous learning to become competent textile professionals. The session began with a welcome speech by Dr. Syed Rashedul Islam, Chairman of the Department, who urged students to learn attentively.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Anichur Rahman, Deputy Director, Office of External Affairs, Uttara University, expressing appreciation to all speakers, guests, and participants for their contributions to the program’s success.
