The UU Business Club, in collaboration with Prime Bank Academia, successfully organized a seminar on Financial & Career Literacy Program – 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall of Uttara University.
 
The event was supported by the Office of External Affairs, Uttara University and Brand Communication of Uttara University.
The program aimed to equip students with essential financial knowledge and career insights, enabling them to make informed decisions and remain competitive in today’s dynamic world.
 
The seminar featured distinguished speakers from Prime Bank PLC:
🔹 M. Nazeem A. Choudhury, Additional Managing Director and Head of Consumer & SME Banking
🔹 Shaila Abedin, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Liability & Women Banking
🔹 M. M. Mahbub Hasan, Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Inclusion & School Banking
 
More than 250 students and 30 faculty members attended the session. The program commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Ishrat Hossain, Dean, School of Business, who introduced the guests and highlighted the significance of the seminar.
 
M. Nazeem A. Choudhury delivered the keynote address, emphasizing career development and the importance of data science, AI-based learning, and communication skills in securing future opportunities. He also highlighted the importance of youth empowerment.
Shaila Abedin shared valuable insights from her extensive professional journey, focusing on career growth and the importance of balancing personal and professional life, particularly for women in the workforce.
 
M. M. Mahbub Hasan discussed financial inclusion and the role of school banking in building a financially aware generation.
A poster presentation session was also organized as part of the seminar, where more than 10 student groups participated, showcasing innovative and thought-provoking ideas.
 
The program was graced by Kazi Mahiuddin, Registrar of Uttara University, as the Special Guest. Dr. Soeb Md. Shoayeb Noman, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration, along with other senior faculty members, was also present.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Ishrat Hossain, Dean, School of Business, Uttara University, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and guests for making the event a success.
