The School of Business, Uttara University, successfully organized the Orientation Program for Freshmen (67th Batch) on 21 January 2026 at the UU Multipurpose Hall, warmly welcoming one of the largest cohorts of newly admitted students.
The program was chaired by Dr. Ishrat Hossain, Dean, School of Business, who encouraged the freshmen to consider their academic journey as a meaningful mission focused on character building and the pursuit of wisdom. The session commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address delivered by Dr. Soeb Mohammad Shoayeb Noman, Director, BBA Program.
Professor Dr. ASM Shahabuddin, Proctor, shared important disciplinary guidelines, while Md. Shanawaz Mostofa, Coordinator of the BBA Program, provided a comprehensive academic briefing. Prof. Farruque Mohammad Masud, Associate Dean, also addressed the students, offering valuable insights and guidance for their academic life ahead.
The program was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honor, Mohiuddin Al Helal, Senior Assistant Secretary (World Health Wing) and Program Manager, Health Sector Transformation Initiative at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh. In his inspiring speech, he shared stories of renowned polymaths and eminent personalities, motivating students to pursue excellence with curiosity and dedication.




On behalf of the freshmen, Kamron Nahar Ilma, a student of the 67th Batch, expressed her enthusiasm and gratitude for becoming part of the School of Business. The formal session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Mohammad Zahidul Islam, Director, MBA Program.
The event concluded with a vibrant cultural program that added a joyful and celebratory touch to the day. The program was hosted by Nusrat Jahan Mim, a student of the School of Business, who also introduced the activities and initiatives of the UU Business Club.
