The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Uttara University organized the New Faculty Orientation: Fostering Teaching, Research & Academic Excellence on 24 September 2026, welcoming the new faculty recruits of Fall 2026.

The day-long orientation featured a series of focused sessions addressing essential aspects of academic life. Dr. Soeb Md. Shoayeb Noman, Associate Professor & Additional Director (ETL), IQAC, led a session on Pedagogy of Teaching, while Mahmood Reaz Sunny, Assistant Professor & Additional Director (QA), IQAC, discussed OBE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and Question Preparation.

Prof. Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Uttara University, shared insights on Uttara University’s History and Culture, encouraging the new faculty members to embrace the institution’s values and contribute to its growth. She emphasized the importance of collaboration, saying:
“We have to work together, support each other, and help one another grow to uplift the reputation of Uttara University.”

The programme also featured Kazi Tareq Ullah, Associate Professor & Director, Office of Admission, who discussed Student Life Cycle at UU and the need for dedicated transport for teachers and officers.

The programme also addressed Examination: Rules, Types, and Invigilation, with Sharmin Akhter, Deputy Controller of Examination, followed by a session on Research and Publication in General, Research Grant, and Publication Incentives at UU by Prof. Dr. Md. Sultanul Islam, Director, CRT.

The concluding academic session, “Quality Education: How?”, was conducted by Professor Dr. ASM Shahabuddin, Director, IQAC, bringing the day’s discussions together around the importance of quality education and continuous improvement.

The orientation concluded with the distribution of certificates and a closing speech by Mr. Abid Aziz, Honorable Member, Board of Trustees, Uttara University, marking the end of an enriching day of learning, reflection, and academic engagement.
