In a significant step toward enhancing academic excellence and inter-institutional synergy, a high-level delegation from the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Center for Research and Training (CRT) of Uttara University (UU) paid a cordial visit to the IQAC of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) on June 23, 2026. The visit aimed to facilitate a dynamic knowledge exchange and explore joint opportunities for advancing quality assurance mechanisms across the higher education sector.

The visiting delegation from Uttara University featured prominent academic leaders, including IQAC Director Professor Dr. ASM Shahabuddin, alongside Additional Directors Dr. Md. Tareque Aziz, Dr. Soeb Md. Shoayeb Noman, and Mr. Mahmood Reaz Sunny. Joining the IQAC leadership was Professor Dr. Md. Sultanul Islam, Director of the Center for Research and Training (CRT), representing a united institutional effort toward research and academic benchmarking.

During the visit, the AIUB facilitators extended a warm welcome to the UU delegation and delivered an insightful presentation detailing their internal quality assurance mechanisms, strategic frameworks, and institutional best practices. This was followed by an interactive and lively Q&A session, where the UU delegation engaged deeply with AIUB representatives on critical academic topics such as the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), rigorous accreditation processes, and holistic strategies for elevating higher education standards.

To gain firsthand exposure to AIUB’s infrastructure and operational practices, the Uttara University team also toured several key campus departments, including the central library and the dedicated IQAC office. The successful visit concluded with heartfelt appreciation from the UU delegation for AIUB’s warm hospitality, alongside an official invitation for a reciprocal visit to Uttara University in the near future to further strengthen this budding partnership.
