On April 30, Uttara University marked National Nutrition Week 2026 with an engaging and insightful “Food is Mood” workshop, organized by the Happiness & Wellbeing Club in collaboration with the Mental Health Unit.
The session was thoughtfully facilitated by Md. Abu Zahid Hasan Neel, who emphasized the powerful connection between nutrition and mental wellbeing. Through his guidance, students gained a deeper understanding of how mindful eating habits can positively influence emotional and psychological health.
Aligned with this year’s theme, “End of Nutrition Inequality, Building a Self-reliant Bangladesh,” the initiative highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition as a foundation for overall wellness, reinforcing the idea that mental wellbeing often begins with what we eat.
Special appreciation goes to Afshana Najnin Jicia and Mst. Nurjahan Islam Suchi for their valuable support in making the program a success.
