Sarah Mirza is a Lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering with a strong academic background in textile science, sustainability, and circular economy research. She holds a B.Sc. in Textile Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) and is committed to advancing textile education through teaching, research, and industry engagement. Prior to her academic career, Sarah gained industrial experience through internships at Micro Fibre Group and C&A Sourcing Ltd. , where she developed practical knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and sourcing operations. She also worked for one year on a 'DANIDA-funded research project' focused on promoting circular economy practices in Bangladesh's textile industry, with particular emphasis on sustainable textiles and textile waste recycling. As an educator, Sarah is passionate about preparing future textile engineers by combining theoretical knowledge with practical industry insights. Her research interests include sustainable textiles, circular economy, textile waste recycling, resource-efficient manufacturing, and environmentally responsible production systems. She is dedicated to contributing to both academic research and industry innovation to support the sustainable development of the global textile and apparel sector.
