Dr. Mohammad Amanul Islam is the Assistant Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Uttara University (UU). He has been successfully completed a year term as Chairman for the Department of CSE. Before this, he was an Assistant Professor at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT). He also served as a Consultant (System Engineer) at the Survey of Bangladesh (SOB) for the "National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI)" project under the Ministry of Defence. Dr. Islam earned his PhD in Computer Science and Technology from Xidian University, China, in July 2020. Previously, he was the Manager of Infrastructure Engineering at Progoti Systems Ltd. With over 12 years industrial and 2 years academic experience, Dr. Islam specializes in ISP and enterprise systems, system and network administration, technology training, research, and system-managed application development. He has worked as an ICT Consultant for various IT organizations in Bangladesh. He received a Chinese Government Scholarship and is a member of the Internet Society and the Engineers Institute of Bangladesh (IEB). He holds certifications in CISCO and RedHat Enterprise Linux and has participated in workshops on IPV6 and call center establishment. Dr. Islam aims to use Computer Application Technology (CAT) to support Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
