Arpita Pathak is a Lecturer in Bangla at Uttara University. She completed both her BA (Hons) and MA with high academic distinction, demonstrating consistent excellence and intellectual rigor. Her academic journey reflects a deep commitment to literary studies, critical inquiry, and the dynamic relationship between language, culture, and society. Her primary academic interests include narrative theory, comparative realisms, postcolonial studies, subalternity, biopolitics, urban marginality, and literature of protest. Her research critically examines how modern Bangla fiction negotiates questions of power, resistance, and marginalized voices, with particular attention to literature’s role in contesting dominant political and cultural narratives. Through her scholarly work, she seeks to explore literature as both an aesthetic form and a site of ethical and political engagement. Alongside her academic pursuits, Arpita has been actively involved in cultural and language-based initiatives beyond the classroom. She has contributed to broadcast and literary platforms, including language-focused programs that promote accurate pronunciation, literary recitation, and public engagement with Bangla language and culture.
