Uttara University recently took a significant step toward expanding its international reach. On May 4, 2026, the university hosted a distinguished delegation from Singyeongju University, South Korea, to discuss a partnership that will offer students exciting new ways to study and grow abroad.

The meeting was led by Mr. Lee Wooyong, who serves as the CEO of StudyK and an Adjunct Professor, alongside Mr. Koo Bon Ki, the Vice-President of International Education at Singyeongju University. Their discussions centered on creating a “Credit Transfer Program” for final-year students and “Global Pathways” to make it easier for graduates to enter Master’s programs in South Korea.
To turn these ideas into reality, the Registrar of Uttara University, Mr. Kazi Mohiuddin, has officially started the process for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement will solidify the relationship between the two institutions, ensuring long-term cooperation and support for students aiming for global careers.

The entire event was coordinated by the Office of External Affairs, Uttara University which worked to bring both universities together. Key support for this dialogue came from Mr. Mollah Md. Nuralam, the CEO of Study Abroad Consulting, as well as Dr. Md. Shakowat Zaman Sarker, Professor and Chairman of the Department of EEE, and Dr. Md. Faruk Hossain, Assistant Professor and Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs.

This collaboration is a major win for the university community. By working with international partners, Uttara University is providing its students with the tools and connections they need to succeed in world-class education and the global job market.
