The 5th International Robo Tech Olympiad 2025 was held at Uttara University with the participation of technology-enthusiastic youth from home and abroad. The two-day competition (20–21 June 2025), jointly organized by the School of Science and Engineering of Uttara University and Robo Tech Valley, showcased technological innovation, creativity, and the application of artificial intelligence.
In addition to domestic participants, the event saw significant international involvement. A total of 150 teams from 70 educational institutions took part, including universities, colleges, and schools. The Olympiad featured 12 categories, notably Robo Soccer, Line Following Robots, Robo Wars, Project Exhibition, Idea Competition, Sumo Race, Quiz Competition, Drone Racing, Project Showcase, and Inter-University Programming Contest. Winners were awarded a total prize money of BDT 600,000. The top 40 participants received individual awards for their performance.
New additions to this year’s Olympiad included the Inter-University Programming Contest, Creative Category, Robot in Movies, Hackathon, and Robotics Quiz. In her speech, the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Uttara University, Professor Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha, said, “Our primary goal is to engage youth with technology and innovation and present their talents to the global stage. We are proud that Bangladesh is reaching new heights in the field of technology.”
The Pro-Vice Chancellor of Uttara University, Professor Dr. Gour Gobinda Goswami, remarked, “The 5th International Robo Tech Olympiad 2025 will play a significant role in developing tech-based skills, creative thinking, and practical problem-solving among young minds.”


On behalf of Uttara University, the Treasurer, Deans, Department Chairs, faculty members, students, and administrative officials were present. The Olympiad was implemented with the support of Professor Dr. Mirza Golam Rabbani, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering, and Md. Wahidur Rahman, Assistant Professor of the CSE Department. Special contributions toward the successful organization of the Inter-University Programming Contest and overall event execution came from Associate Professor and Dean of the School of Civil, Environmental, and Industrial Engineering Dr. Md. Sultanul Islam, Acting Dean and Associate Professor of the School of Arts and Social Science Dr. Shah Ahmed, Associate Dean Professor Dr. Md. Shakowat Zaman Sarker (SoSE), Chairman of the CSE Department and Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Amanul Islam, and IT Director Md. Ehsanul Haque.
The Chief Guest of the event was Abdul Hai Sarker, Chairman of Purbani Group and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Independent University, Bangladesh. Distinguished guests included computer scientist, educator, columnist, and writer Mohammad Kaykobad and Vice Chancellor of Pirojpur University of Science and Technology, Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam. Also in attendance were Professor Dr. Md. Obaidur Rahman and Professor Dr. K M Azharul Hasan of the IEEE Computer Society Bangladesh Chapter.
Representing Robo Tech Valley were Managing Director A.S.M. Ahsanul Sarker Akib and Senior Consultant Dr. Md. Ahsan Habib. Organizers stated that there are plans to expand the scale of the Olympiad in the future, with the vision of making Bangladesh a leading country in technological innovation in South Asia.
