Policy for Creating Opportunities for Local Communities for participation in Events and Programs

Created in 2023

Reviewed in 2025

Uttara University organizes seminars, lectures, workshops, conferences, training programs, and cultural, sports and awareness events throughout the year. The University believes that learning does not end with a degree and that it should share its knowledge with its neighbours. This policy opens selected events and programs to the local community and takes some programs out to schools and communities beyond the campus. It supports SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

"Local community" means residents, schools, community groups, alumni, non-governmental organizations, local offices and professionals in and around the University's neighbourhood.
