The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Uttara University held a meeting on September 16, 2026, to discuss ways to further strengthen the university’s academic and quality assurance practices in preparation for accreditation.

The meeting was conducted by Professor Dr. ASM Shahabuddin, Director of IQAC, Uttara University and brought together the university’s Deans, Chairmen and Controller of Examinations. Three Additional Directors of IQAC were also present at the meeting, contributing to the discussions on the key agendas. The participants engaged in a constructive discussion on strengthening academic planning and course delivery, ensuring appropriate contact hours and effective teaching-learning practices, enhancing the consistency and transparency of assessment and evaluation processes and improving the management and coordination of examinations. The meeting also considered ways to support effective academic workload management while maintaining the quality of teaching and learning. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha, joined the meeting and was briefed on the key discussions and proposed measures concerning the university’s academic and quality assurance practices.

The meeting concluded with the participants reaching a consensus on the proposed agendas. The recommendations may subsequently be placed before the Academic Council for further consideration.
