This is for information of all concerned that the Mental Health Unit (Room 6110) is fully operational with an extensive repository of standardized psychometric, clinical, and psychological assessment tools.

These scientific services are available to all students, faculty members, researchers, and administrative staff to facilitate personal psychological evaluations, clinical counseling, and academic or organizational research.

#What are Psychometric & Psychological Testing Tools?

Psychometric and psychological testing tools are scientific questionnaires and activities used to measure your mental health, personality, stress levels, and thinking abilities.

#Key Assessment Domains & Available Tools

  • l Clinical Mental Health, Mood & Stress Assessment: Features a wide spectrum of tools (including PHQ, DASS-21, BSS, GHQ-12, and PSS) to screen for depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and acute stress.
  • l Trauma, Obsessive Thoughts & Somatic Concerns: Contains standardized inventories (such as YBOCS-Bangla and Impact of Event Scale) to assess post-traumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, and bodily manifestations of distress.
  • l Personality, Behavior & Cognitive Patterns: Includes diverse profiling tests (such as Big Five Inventory, SCID-5, DU Cognitive Distortion Scale, and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale) to map personality traits, self-worth, and coping mechanisms.
  • l Addiction & Dependency Assessment: Offers specialized screening instruments (covering nicotine, internet, screen, drug addiction, and readiness-to-change) to evaluate behavioral dependencies.

  • l Standard Inventories & Profiling (e.g., Big Five Inventory, Relationship Scales): 15 – 30 minutes
  • l Comprehensive Cognitive & Clinical Batteries (e.g., WAIS-4, SCID-5): 45 – 90 minutes (administered in structured sessions)

Assessment, Reporting & Confidentiality: Upon completing any test, participants’ responses will be objectively scored, and each individual will receive a confidential assessment report along with expert feedback to help understand the results. All testing sessions and evaluations are conducted strictly under professional confidentiality and ethical guidelines to ensure complete privacy and data security.
