Uttara University Delegation Visits IMPAC Engineering to Strengthen Industry–Academia Collaboration

On 27 August 2026, a delegation from Uttara University (UU) visited the Factory and Head Office of IMPAC Engineering to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and create greater opportunities for students of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE).

The delegation was led by Dr. Md. Shakowat Zaman Sarker, Professor and Chairman, Department of EEE, and included Dr. Md. Taslim Reza, Professor, Md. Delwar Hossen, Associate Professor and Coordinator, Department of EEE, and Anichur Rahman, Deputy Director, Office of External Affairs, UU.

IMPAC Engineering, an ISO-certified substation producer and pioneer importer in Bangladesh, provided an overview of its production facilities, technical operations, and industrial activities. Engr. Md. Easin Khan, Managing Director, along with his technical team, warmly received the delegation and briefed them on the company’s operations and potential areas of collaboration.

Through the proposed collaboration, opportunities for hands-on learning, industrial exposure, internships, job placement, and practical skill development for UU students are expected to be created, while stronger alignment between academic learning and industry requirements is intended to be achieved.

During the visit, Dr. Md. Shakowat Zaman Sarker, Professor and Chairman, Department of EEE, handed over a token of appreciation to Engr. Md. Easin Khan, Managing Director, IMPAC Engineering, as a gesture of gratitude and goodwill.

The visit was highly appreciated by the UU delegation, and sincere gratitude was expressed to the IMPAC Engineering family for their warm hospitality and valuable cooperation.

In Sha Allah, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Uttara University and IMPAC Engineering is expected to be signed soon, further strengthening the partnership between academia and industry.
