The School of Civil, Environment and Industrial Engineering (SoCEIE), in collaboration with the Office of External Affairs, Uttara University and the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh, organized a seminar on BD Case Competition 2026 and Digital Product Passport (DPP) Pilot Project at Uttara University.
The program was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Md. Sultanul Islam, Dean, SoCEIE, who encouraged students to participate in the BD Case Competition, highlighting opportunities for international exposure, including the chance for the champion team to compete in Hong Kong, as well as future career prospects in the global apparel industry.
The keynote session was conducted by Dr. Henry SOO, Strategic Partner and Master Trainer of GarmentTechBD, who shared valuable insights into the BD Case Competition, the DPP Pilot Project, sustainability, and global supply chain management. An interactive Q&A session followed the presentation.




The event also featured a special address by Prof. Farruque Mohammad Masud, Associate Dean, School of Business Administration and Chairman (In-Charge), Department of Fashion Design & Merchandising Technology, Uttara University, who emphasized strengthening industry-academia collaboration in the Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Ishrat Hossain, Dean, School of Business Administration.
