SoSE of Uttara University Organizes Workshop on OBE Grade sheet Implementation in ERP System

The School of Science and Engineering (SoSE) of Uttara University successfully organized a workshop titled “Workshop on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Grade sheet Implementation in ERP system” on 13 May 2026. The workshop was arranged with the objective of discussing the effective implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE)-based grade sheet systems within the university’s ERP platform, aiming to establish a standardized, transparent, and technology-driven academic assessment system across the institution.

The session was inaugurated and conducted by the keynote speaker, Professor Dr. Mirza Golam Rabbani, Dean, School of Science and Engineering, Uttara University. In his keynote speech, he emphasized the importance of Outcome-Based Education in modern higher education systems and highlighted the necessity of integrating Course Outcome (CO) and Program Outcome (PO) attainment systems within ERP for ensuring academic quality assurance, accreditation readiness, and institutional standardization.

The workshop was attended by Mr. Mohammad Ali, Controller of Examinations, Uttara University; Professor Dr. Shakowat Zaman Sarker, Associate Dean, School of Science and Engineering; the Deputy Controller of the Controller of Examinations Office; Chairmen of the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering; senior faculty members from various departments; members of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC); Deputy Director of the Information Technology Department; and other respected academic and administrative officials.

During the workshop, detailed discussions were held regarding OBE-based theory and laboratory grade sheet structures, Course Outcome and Program Outcome mapping procedures, attainment calculation methodologies, ERP implementation workflow, automated reporting systems, and centralized academic monitoring processes.

The participants actively shared their valuable opinions, recommendations, and implementation concerns regarding ERP integration, assessment standardization, faculty coordination, and operational procedures. The interactive session concluded with several important decisions and strategic directions regarding the implementation and operational execution of the OBE grade sheet system within the ERP platform of Uttara University.

The workshop ended with a vote of thanks and appreciation to all participating faculty members, administrative officials, and technical personnel for their valuable contributions toward strengthening the university’s academic quality assurance and digital academic management initiatives.
