This is for the information of all concerned that the Government has recently issued instructions through letter no. 37.00.0000.078.99.001.2022-62 dated 08 March 2026 (attached herewith) to adopt necessary measures for the conservation of electricity and power.

In light of this directive, all students, faculty members, officers, and staff of this university are hereby requested to use electricity judiciously both within the university premises and at home. The following measures are strongly encouraged:

• Switch off lights, fans, air conditioners, and other electrical appliances when not in use.
• Ensure optimal use of natural light and ventilation during daytime.
• Occupants of all classrooms, office rooms, corridors, and small passageways that receive adequate natural light are requested to refrain from switching on electric lights.
• Avoid unnecessary use of high-power-consuming devices.
• Maintain temperature settings of air conditioners at an energy-efficient level.
• Report any electrical faults or wastage to the concerned authority promptly.

All Chairpersons, Academic Directors and Office Heads are requested to take proactive steps to ensure compliance with these guidelines. Collective efforts in this regard will contribute significantly to energy conservation and sustainability.
