The Department of Business Administration, in collaboration with the Office of External Affairs, Uttara University, organized the “Capital Market Centric Academic Literacy Awareness Program” in association with the DSE Training Academy (DTA), Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC, on January 28, 2026, at the Uttara University campus.
The program aimed to enhance capital market literacy among faculty members and students by emphasizing practical knowledge, investment awareness, and real-world capital market operations. The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Javed Mahmud, Assistant Professor, School of Business, who highlighted the importance of industry–academia collaboration in preparing students for professional challenges.
Dr. Ishrat Hossain, Dean, School of Business, attended the program as the Chief Guest and emphasized the significance of collaborative initiatives in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practices.



The keynote session, titled “Orientation of Capital Market,” was delivered by Syed Al Amin Rahman, DGM & Head of DSE Training Academy (DTA). His presentation covered essential aspects of the capital market, including regulatory frameworks, market operations, investment instruments, and current market insights, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of the sector.
An interactive question-and-answer session enabled participants to deepen their understanding of capital market dynamics and explore career opportunities within the financial sector. The program concluded with a vote of thanks followed by a group photo session, marking the successful completion of the event.
Through such initiatives, Uttara University continues to strengthen industry engagement and promote practical, career-oriented learning, reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
