There had been a steady buzz across the campus for quite some time. Whispered conversations floated here and there; rumour had it that the Department of Bangla at Uttara University was finally going to bring their hidden talents into the spotlight.

And that’s exactly what happened! On Tuesday, the 11th, the Department of Bangla successfully organised the “Cultural Talent Hunt – 2025” competition. With the aim of nurturing the latent talents of students, the entire university premises came alive with vibrant displays of creativity, poetry, music, acting, and dance, filling the campus with colour and enthusiasm.

The Honourable Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Special Guests included Kazi Mohiuddin, Registrar of Uttara University, and Professor Dr Syeda Afroza Zerin, Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences. The event was presided over by Salah Uddin Quader, Acting Chairman of the Department of Bangla.

Joining them were senior faculty member Dr Momtaz Begum, as well as all the teachers and students of the department. Their collective presence turned the campus into a lively and memorable celebration.
