Uttara University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 28 August 2025, with the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) in collaboration with the School of Business Administration and the Office of External Affairs, marking an important step towards academic and professional collaboration. The agreement is expected to create new opportunities for students, faculty and professionals through knowledge sharing, skill development and career-oriented initiatives. Under this MoU, business graduates of Uttara University will enjoy hassle-free admission to ICMAB with exemptions for six courses.

From Uttara University, the MoU Signing Ceremony was graced by Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha and Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gour Gobinda Goswami. The event was attended by distinguished guests from ICMAB, including Mr. Md. Kausar Alam FCMA, Vice President, ICMAB; Mr. Mohammed Jahangir Alam FCMA, Council Member, ICMAB; and Mr. Md. Abdul Maleque, Additional Director, ICMAB. Among other dignitaries, Mohammad Ali, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Ishrat Hossain, Dean, School of Business Administration (SoB), were also present.
