A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Uttara University and the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh on July 10, 2025, establishing a strategic partnership to promote training, development, and capacity-building initiatives for students and professionals.

The MoU outlines collaborative efforts in competitions, workshops, skill development programs, and industry-relevant training for undergraduates, graduates, and professionals.

The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Honourable Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Eaysmin Ara Lekha. Also present was Dr. Henry Soo, Strategic Partner & Master Trainer, Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh, and Professor Dr. Gour Gobinda Goswami, Honourable Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Uttara University.

Among other distinguished attendees were Mr. Kazi Mahiuddin, Registrar; Mr. Mohammad Ali, Controller of Examinations; Dr. Ishrat Hossain, Dean, School of Business Administration (SoB), and Dr. Md. Sultanul Islam, Dean, School of Civil, Environment and Industrial Engineering (SoCEIE). Faculty members from the Departments of Textile Engineering, Fashion Design and Technology (FDT), and Business Administration were also present.
